Mrunal Thakur Starts Following Dhanush's Sisters On Instagram Amid Dating Rumours

Actress Mrunal Thakur has been making headlines of late, more for her personal life than her films. The actress is reportedly dating Tamil star Dhanush, and while fans were still wrapping their heads around the piece of information, she added fuel to the fire by following his sisters on social media.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Mrunal started following Dhanush's sisters, Dr Karthika Krishnamoorthy and Vimala Geetha, on Instagram quite recently. And it's not just her, but the sisters too followed her back, and it seems like the actor's family has already developed a soft spot for Mrunal.

Are Dhanush and Mrunal dating?

Reports of Dhanush and Mrunal dating first surfaced after they were seen holding hands and whispering into each other's ears at an event in Mumbai. Dhanush reportedly flew down to Mumbai from Chennai specially to attend the screening of Mrunal's film with Ajay Devgn, Son Of Sardaar 2.

Not just that, but Mrunal was also spotted at the wrap up party of Dhanush's upcoming film, Tere Ishq Mein, despite not being a part of the film.

Both Dhanush and Mrunal have remained tightlipped about their equation, but a News18 report confirmed that they were indeed dating. The report also mentioned that the relationship is fairly new and the couple is in no mood to make it official so soon.

Dhanush's previous marriage

For those unversed, Dhanush was previously married to superstar Rajinikanth's daughter, Aishwaryaa, and it was reportedly an arranged marriage. They got married in 2004, but announced separation in 2022 after 18 years of marriage. They were officially granted divorce in 2024.

They have two sons -- Yatra and Linga.

Mrunal, on the other hand, has seldom grabbed eyeballs due to her personal life. While she is quite active on social media, she prefers to keep her private life away from the public eye.
