He shared that he deeply related to Kapoor's character Ved and couldn't stop crying while watching the film. Anuv also recalled meeting Ranbir and expressing how Tamasha had a profound impact on him.

On Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Anuv said that Tamasha changed his life. He shared that when he first watched the film during college, he didn’t like it. He added that Ranbir Kapoor himself has mentioned that many people who saw the movie initially didn’t appreciate it, but over time, especially after starting jobs and gaining more life experience, they began to understand and connect with it deeply.

He shared, "The character Ved is me. I was going to work trying to make a difference, but I could see it was not going to happen, as my destiny and strengths were better applied elsewhere, like music. Main bohot miserable tha life mein. Dusri baar jab maine movie dekhi thi, I was contemplating changing my career to music. I saw that movie again, and the next day I put down my papers. It changed my life. I am not a crier, but when I saw Ranbir’s character come to work, maine udhar se rona shuru kiya till the end. I was just crying because I could draw so many parallels. It changed my life."

Anuv Jain Recalls Meeting Ranbir Kapoor

The singer shared that he recently met Ranbir, whom he described as the kindest person. Anuv said Ranbir was very warm and told him that he and Alia Bhatt often play his music at home. In return, Anuv told Ranbir how he keeps watching his movies, especially Tamasha.

"He is a tall guy, and he kissed me on my head. He said, 'Bro, I am so happy that you feel that way about the movie.' That made my day. He is my favourite actor. Very few times do you meet an artist who legitimately changes your life, and through his acting, he changed mine," he added.

Anuv said that he spent five minutes with Ranbir and even Alia Bhatt — what an actress, she is so sweet.
