King: Did Siddharth Anand Confirm Deepika Padukone's Casting Opposite Shah Rukh Khan? Deets Inside
Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in King, and there were reports that the makers are considering Deepika Padukone for the movie. Now, a report in an entertainment portal stated that Deepika is locked for King, and she won't have a cameo but a full-length role. As soon as this news report came out, director Siddharth Anand tweeted, "Ab true."

Siddharth Anand and his tweets have been grabbing our attention. As soon as a news report about his next directorial, King starring Shah Rukh Khan is published, the filmmaker tweets 'true' and 'false'. On Tuesday, Pinkvilla reported that Deepika has been locked for the movie, and it won't be a cameo but a full-length role. Well, earlier Anand tweeted, "True. And False." Later, maybe there were some changes made in the article, so he posted, "Ab true."
A source told the portal that SRK always wanted to cast Deepika in the film. However, initially dates were the issue as the actress was on a maternity break. But, as King's shooting was delayed, the dates aligned and she came on board. While earlier there were date issues, the makers were considering Kareena Kapoor Khan and Katrina Kaif as well.
The source further added that Deepika will start shooting for the film in the second half of the year, and it is not a cameo. She has a full-length role.
King Release Date
King will hit the big screens in 2026. The makers are eyeing to release the movie in the last quarter of the year. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, and Arshad Warsi. It will go on the floors in May this year.
