Jayam Ravi Changes His Name After Divorce With Aarti Ravi, Announces Production House: 'New Chapter In My Journey'
Tamil actor Jayam Ravi, after announcing his divorce from Aarti Ravi, has changed his name to Ravi Mohan and launched his production house. In a statement, he requested everyone to address him by his new name, stating, "As I move into this new chapter, aligning my identity with my vision and values."

Tamil actor Jayam Ravi made headlines in 2024 when he announced his divorce from his wife, Aarti Ravi, after 15 years of marriage. Following the announcement, rumours surfaced about Jayam having an affair with singer Kenishaa Francis, which both parties denied. Now, the actor revealed that he has officially changed his name to Ravi Mohan and will no longer be addressed as Jayam Ravi.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Jayam Ravi issued a statement urging his fans and the media to address him as Ravi. "Cinema is/has always been my greatest passion and the foundation of my career, a world that has shaped who I am today. As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunities, love, and support that cinema and all of you have given me. I look forward to extending my support to the industry that gave me life, love, and purpose," he wrote.
The actor captioned the statement, "Back in the old and in the new. #HappyPongal."

The actor also announced the launch of his production house, Ravi Mohan Studios.
"From this day forward, I will be known as Ravi / Ravi Mohan, a name that deeply resonates with my personal and professional aspirations. As I move into this new chapter, aligning my identity with my vision and values, I kindly request everyone to address me by this name and no longer as Jayam Ravi."

On the work front, Ravi is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming Tamil film Kadhalikka Neramillai, which also stars Nithya Menen.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on 14 January 2025.
