'Is This A Joke?': Netizens Upset With IIFA 2025 Winners; Question Kartik Aaryan, Nitanshi Goel's Win

IIFA 2025 took place during the weekend in Jaipur, Rajasthan. While the digital awards took place on Saturday, the theatrical awards happened on Sunday. If we talk about the winners, Best Film went to Laapataa Ladies, Best Director award was given to Kiran Rao, Kartik Aaryan won Best Actor Male award for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Best Actor Female award was given to Laapataa Ladies actress Nitanshi Goel.

While of course fans of Kartik and Nitanshi are happy that they received the award, some netizens are upset with them getting Best Actor Male and Best Actor Female award.

A netizen questioned Kartik's win and wrote, "Iffa is this a joke?" Another netizen felt that he deserved for Chandu Champion and not for BB3, "Dude he doesn't deserve it for bb3 but for chandu Champion definitely." When it comes to Nitanshi, a lot of people commneted that she is talented, but she didn't deserve to win Best Actress award. A netizen wrote, "Her acting was good but how can you give her best actress when actress like Yami, Alia, katrina are nominated for amazing movies."

Another Instagram user commented, "Yami Gautam and Katrina Kaif are robed this time." One more netizen wrote, "Iifa me kuch b ho rha hai. She should get the debutant award not the best actress." Check out the comments below...

Well, a lot of netizens felt that Katrina Kaif deserved an award for her performance in Merry Christmas. As the actress even attended the award function, her fans were expecting that she will get an award, but that didn't happen.

Last year, IIFA was praised for giving awards to the deserving people, but this year, when it comes to Best Actor Male and Best Actor Female, surely netizens are not happy.
