'Her Kids Will Have To Do Something Else': Salman Khan Takes 'Nepotism' Dig At Kangana Ranaut During Sikandar Event
During a press conference in Mumbai on Wednesday, actor Salman Khan took a dig at Kangana Ranaut and the nepotism debate and stated that no one is 'self made'. "If Kangana's kids act or join politics then..." he said, adding that her kids will now have to choose a different field to avoid the allegations.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is known for his own cheeky way of taking digs at people with a tinge of humour, and this time on his radar was none other than actress-politician Kangana Ranaut. During a press conference in Mumbai on Wednesday to promote his upcoming film, Sikandar, Salman took a playful jibe at Kangana and her nepotism rant.
It all began after Salman was asked a question on being a 'self-made' star. "Nobody in this world is self-made. I don't believe in that. It's all teamwork. Had my father not come to Mumbai from Indore, I would have been farming there," he said.
"He came here, worked in films. Now, I am his son. I could either go back or continue here. People bring new terms for all this, like that thing all of you use a lot -- nepotism. I love it," he added.
A journalist then spoke about Raveena Tandon's daughter, Rasha Thadani, making her Bollywood debut earlier this year. However, Salman seemed to have misheard it, and feigning surprise, he asked, "Kangana ki beti aa rahi hai?"
As the media had a good laugh, Salman continued, "Ab Kangana ki beti aayengi, toh films karengi ya politics join karengi, toh unko bhi...", to which some people replied, "Nepotism". In response, the actor quipped, "Yeah, she or he will have to do something else now."
For those unversed, it was Kangana who started the nepotism and insider vs outsider debate in the film industry during her appearance on Koffee with Karan. She has time and again targetted star kids, and has slammed filmmakers for choosing them over those who have no connections in the industry.
Meanwhile, speaking of Sikandar, the film stars Salman in the titular role and it marks his first collaboration with Ghajini filmmaker AR Murugadoss. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and others in key roles.
