'Extremely Corrosive': Sufi Motiwala Comes Out In Support Of Uorfi Javed As She Gets Rape Threats Post The Traitors Win

Fashion content creator Sufi Motiwala, who was one of the contestants on The Traitors, came out in support of actress Uorfi Javed after she opened up on receiving rape and death threats, and abusive messages, post winning the reality show. Sufi stated that abusing someone won't change the result and called it "extremely corrosive".

While Sufi did not name Uorfi, he took to his Instagram stories and wrote, "Y'all just need to stop abusing people for no reason. It's extremely corrosive to hear people think all that about you. If you're upset w the result of a show process it on your own. Laughing joking enjoying is the answer. Abusing is never the answer (sic)," he wrote.

It is to be noted that it was only a few days ago that Sufi was involved in an ugly spat with Uorfi on social media.

Uorfi Javed gets hate for winning The Traitors

Uorfi was declared as the winner of The Traitors on Thursday night, and on Friday morning, she took to her Instagram to share screenshots of a slew of abusive messages and threats in her DMs from fans of her co-contestants Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha. Some trolls went on to call her names like "cheater" and "prostitute".

The 27-year-old actress wrote, "When we you don’t like something a girl does, just drop the ‘R’ word. Not the first time I’ve been threatened or abused like this but this time it’s not because of my clothes but because I won a show. Imagine being so petty that when your favourite player doesn’t win you resort to abusing and threatening. (sic)."

She went on to say, "These are the most decent ones I uploaded. No matter what I do, people just love hating and abusing. Harsh ko na Nikalti toh Pyar me andhi, harsh ko nikal Diya toh dhokhebaaz. Purav ko Jeetne deti toh bewakoof, nahi jeetne diya toh cheater. "Hate has never stopped me before, it never will now," she concluded (sic)."

The Traitors grand finale

For those unversed, Purav and Harsh were the last two surviving traitors among the Top 5 contestants of the game show. However, it was at that crucial juncture that Uorfi eavesdropped on their conversation and found out the truth, which she shared with the other winner, Nikita Luther, as well, and they managed to first eliminate Purav and then Harsh.

Uorfi and Nikita were thus declared the joint winners of The Traitors and shared the prize money of Rs 70.05 lakh.
