'Embarrassing': Urvashi Rautela Turns Hotel Stairway Into Runway At Cannes 2025, Faces Backlash For Blocking Guests (VIDEO)

Actress Urvashi Rautela is once again grabbing eyeballs at the 78th Cannes Film Festival—not just for her extravagant fashion choices, but also for her headline-making antics. On Thursday, before heading to the red carpet, the actress was getting a photoshoot done on the stairway of her hotel, clad in a blindingly golden embellished gown with dramatic sleeves.

However, during the shoot, Urvashi caused a traffic jam by blocking the way for several other guests. Despite this, she remained unfazed, continued posing, and refused to let anyone pass until her perfect shot was captured. In the video shared by Diet Sabya, the actress faced backlash for blocking guests on the stairway, with several calling it 'embarrassing.'

Earlier, Urvashi had a major oops moment on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. She wore a black floor-length gown that had a hole in its arm.  The Daaku Maharaj actress wore a semi-sheer black gown with a billowing bottom by Naja Saade and strutted down the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival on Sunday. However, netizens pointed out how her dress was torn near her left armpit, and wondered how was the faux pas allowed on such a massive platform.

Explaining the reason behind her wardrobe malfunction, speaking to IANS, Urvashi revealed that while en route to the event, her vehicle came to an abrupt halt as a 70-year-old woman crossed the road. The driver's swift action to protect the elderly woman caused Urvashi to lurch forward, resulting in her gown tearing.

The actress added, "True strength lies in perspective and in shaping our narrative.
