Actress Urvashi Rautela, who recently walked the red carpet of the coveted Cannes Film Festival, made headlines after she suffered a major wardrobe malfunction at the global stage. The actress was seen sashaying down the red carpet in a torn dress, and eagle-eyed netizens did not miss it.
Several photos and videos of Urvashi flaunting her second look at Cannes 2025 have now gone viral. The Daaku Maharaj actress wore a semi-sheer black gown with a billowing bottom by Naja Saade and strutted down the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival on Sunday. However, netizens pointed out how her dress was torn near her left armpit, and wondered how was the faux pas allowed on such a massive platform.
"First Indian to have a torn dress at Cannes (sic)," a netizen commented, while another wrote, "She is having a string of bad luck . First her dress got stuck in the revolving door, then she ended up on the carpet looking like a parrot, carrying a parrot, now she turned up in a torn dress. First Indian actress to suffer a series of bad luck in Cannes (sic)."
"Wearing something like this on Global platform is so unacceptable (sic)," a user stated, while some also wondered if it was all a publicity gimmick.
Urvashi too shared photos of her look on her Instagram handle, but all from a different angle, seemingly trying to hide the torn part of her dress. The actress is yet to comment on her wardrobe malfunction at the Cannes.
Prior to this, Urvashi was brutally trolled for her "parrot" look at the opening ceremony of Cannes 2025. She donned a colourful fishtail-styled gown with a strapless neckline and a unique design, and paired it with a dramatic tiara and a crystal parrot clutch from the brand Judith Leiber, priced at Rs 4.68 lakh.

Netizens were unimpressed by the look, and some reports even claimed that she was asked to move away from the red carpet by the organisers of Cannes as she was taking up more time than permitted.
