Deb Mukherjee Demise: Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor And Others Attend Ayan Mukerji’s Father’s Funeral

This morning, we got the sad news that Ayan Mukerji’s father and veteran actor Deb Mukherjee has passed away. The 83-year-old was unwell, and he was hospitalised. Mukherjee had worked in films like Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, King Uncle, Kaminey and others. He has two kids, Sunita Gowariker and Ayan Mukerji. Sunita and Ayan are half siblings as their mothers are not same. Deb had got married twice.

The veteran actor’s funeral took place at Pawan Hans, Mumbai, today evening, and many Bollywood celebs attended it. Check out the pictures below…

Karan Johar

Karan Johar is very close to Ayan. The filmmaker had launched Ayan in Bollywood with his production venture Wake Up Sid, and later they had teamed up for Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Brahmastra.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were in Alibaug to celebrate Holi and the former’s birthday. But, they came back to Mumbai after hearing about Ayan’s father’s demise. Ranbir and Ayan are best friends.

Kajol and Tanishaa

Deb Mukherjee was Kajol and Tanishaa’s uncle, and this picture proves that they both are very upset with his demise. At Durga Puja, he used shower a lot of love and blessings on his nieces.

Salim Khan

Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, also attended the funeral of Deb Mukherjee. The late actor had worked in many films, and of course, Salim and Deb would have known each other for many years.

Kiran Rao

Aamir Khan’s ex-wife and filmmaker, Kiran Rao, is a very close friend of Ayan Mukerji. So, it was expected that she would attend the funeral.

Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor was also clicked at the funeral of Deb Mukherjee. The late actor was a veteran; so of course, many Bollywood celebs were expected to be at his funeral.

Other celebs like music composer Pritam, singer Shaan, director Rohit Dhawan, were also clicked at the funeral.
