'Agli Chutti Kashmir Mein': Suniel Shetty Reacts To Pahalgam Terror Attack, Says 'Have To Show Them We're NOT Afraid' (VIDEO)
Suniel Shetty also shared that he had personally reached out to authorities, offering to visit the state either as a tourist or in his professional capacity. While interacting with media persons, he also called for unity and collective strength, urging citizens to not fall prey to fear or divisiveness

Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Kesari Veer, appealed to fellow citizens to plan their next vacation in Kashmir. Speaking on the sidelines of the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award 2025 ceremony, the actor recently talked about the importance of standing in solidarity with Kashmiris and promoting tourism in the Valley. This comes just a few days after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Urging unity and resilience, the actor encouraged people to defy the fear intended by terrorist acts and instead, respond with support for the region and its people.
"Humein nagrik ki taraf se ek hi karna hai, humein ye decide karna hai ki aaj se humaari agli chutti jo hogi, voh Kashmir mein hi hogi aur kahi nahi hogi. Unko ye dikhana hai ki humein darr nahi hai (As citizens, we have to do just one thing... we have to decide that from today, our next holiday will be in Kashmir and nowhere else. We have to show them that we are not afraid)," Suniel Shetty said.
The Dhadkan actor also shared that he had personally reached out to authorities, offering to visit the state either as a tourist or in his professional capacity.
"Maine khud phone kar ke bola hai ki agar kal aapko lagta hai ki humein vaha aana hai, tourist ke haisiyat se ya artist ki haisiyat se, humein vaha shooting karna hai ya ghoomne jaana hai, hum aayenge (I personally called and said that if tomorrow you feel we need to come there, whether as tourists or as artists, whether it's for shooting or for visiting, we will come)," he added.
Suniel Shetty further called for unity and collective strength, urging citizens to not fall prey to fear or divisiveness.
"Right now, we need to stay united. Those who are trying to spread fear and hatred, without falling for their manipulation, we must come together and show them that Kashmir was ours, is ours, and will always remain ours. That's why the army, the leaders, everyone is involved in this effort," he stated.
The actor’s comments come in the wake of a horrific terrorist attack on April 22 at the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, which resulted in the death of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen. Several others were injured in the brutal assault on tourists.
In response to the attack, the Central government held an all-party meeting on Thursday to review the security situation and discuss a unified approach to address the growing threat of terrorism in the region.
