Abhishek Bachchan, Javed Akhtar & Other Celebs Congratulate Rohit Sharma-Led Team India For CT 2025 Win Against New Zealand

Several Bollywood celebrities took to their official social media accounts to congratulate Rohit Sharma-led Team India as the Men in Blue sealed their third ICC Champions Trophy title, beating New Zealand by four wickets in Dubai on Sunday (March 9).

This is India's third ICC Champions Trophy title, having shared one with Sri Lanka in 2002 and securing the second under 'Captain Cool' MS Dhoni in 2013.

Soon after India won the match, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar took to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account to congratulate team India cricketers. "Hurray !!! Boys you have done it !!! Congratulations to you and to the whole nation," he wrote.

Congratulating captain Rohit, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri wrote, "Wow! Wow, #TeamIndia. You are champions. Congrats @ImRo45 for leading India to such comprehensive victory and great tournament."

Actor Abhishek Bachchan shared his happiness and excitement on social media and wrote, "The trophy is coming home! A masterclass of skill, grit, and passion by Team India. On top of the world."

Actor Milind Soman said he watched a cricket match after many years and he is glad that it was this one. On X, he posted, "Yaaaaay !! We won 😀 watched a match after many years, and glad it was this one, congratulations team India !!! JAI HIND."

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal's rumoured girlfriend RJ Mahvash shared videos of her celebrating after India's victory. Along with the visuals, she wrote, "Kaha tha na jita ke aungi😝😍 I am good luck for team India."
