Bollywood's current sensation Ahaan Panday is still basking in the success of his debut film, Saiyaara. On Thursday, he took to his social media to pen a heartfelt note for the audience, and especially for his own 'saiyaara', his grandmother.

Dedicating the success of Saiyaara to his grandmother, Ahaan wrote, "Kabhi yeh nahi socha tha mujhe itna pyaar milega... Dadi mujhe hamesha raj bulati thi, kaash woh aaj krish ko dekh paati. Bhagwan ko hamesha yeh kehta tha ki agar duniya mujhe pasand na bhi kare, Mujhe pata tha.. sitaaron mein sitara, ek tanha tara - dadi meri.. wahan se dekh kar mujhe muskuraengi - ye sirf aapke liye hai dadi (sic)."

Addressing his fans, he then went ahead and made a promise to continue honing his skills and be a better actor and person. "I don’t know what lies ahead for me, but I know that in this moment I feel the love in my bones, I feel it for every single one of you, and I’ll feel it forever and ever and ever. I promise to work twice as hard, be twice as good, and to do this for you all, but also do it for the child in me, the child who had two left feet. The child who got jitters before going on stage, the child who was always told he couldn’t do it, we all have that child in us (sic)," he wrote.

"I hope you all keep making that child happy because that child in you deserves it all, thank you for this miracle, I wish I could hug every single one of you; Tere bina to kuch naa rahenge (sic)," he concluded.

Saiyaara box office collection

Saiyaara, which stars Aneet Padda opposite Ahaan, wreaked havoc in theatres as it released on July 18. The film shattered all records and it grossed Rs 300 crore at the box office in just two weeks.

Saiyaara opened with Rs 21 crore making it the highest-ever first day collection of a film headlined by newcomers, and that too in the romance genre. Theatres were rendered housefull and extra shows were added early in the morning and late in the night to accommodate the demand.

People were seen crying their eyes out, screaming and having meltdowns inside theatres after watching the heartbreaking romantic story of Saiyaara. All this while, Ahaan and Aneet stayed away from the limelight, quietly soaking in all the love.
