'Aamir Khan Has Not Made Any Calls': Actor's Team Denies Reports Of His Involvement In Rajinikanth's Coolie Distribution

There's a war for screens going on between War 2 and Coolie. Recently, there were reports that Aamir Khan, who has a cameo in the Rajinikanth starrer called PVR-Inox boss Ajay Bijli and requested him for premium showcasing of Coolie across the country, and also asked the multiplex chain to do a marketing tie-up with the film in North India. However, Aamir's team has denied the reports.

Spokesperson of Aamir Khan Productions clarified, "Neither Aamir Khan, nor anyone from his team is involved in the distribution of Coolie. Mr Khan has not made any calls to any exhibitor or distributor. His cameo in the film is purely a gesture of his bond with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth."

The statement further read, "Everyone at AKP, especially Aamir Khan, is thrilled with the success of Sitaare Zameen Par’s YouTube release and is overjoyed with the response it has received."

Coolie Vs War 2

Coolie and War 2 are slated to release on August 14, 2025. Coolie is a Tamil film but will be dubbed and released in Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada. Meanwhile, War 2 is a Hindi film and it will be dubbed and released in Tamil and Telugu.

If we look at the target audience of both the movie, Coolie is majorely expected to do excellent in Tamil language, and might also get a good response in Telugu and Kannada due to the presence of Nagarjuna and Upendra in the movie.

For Hindi film audience, War 2 will be the first choice, and because of Jr NTR, the movie is also expected to do very well in the Telugu language. For Coolie's Hindi dubbed version, it all depends on reviews and word of mouth.

So, it will be interesting to see which movie will win the box office race.
