WBJEE 2025 Result Updates: After the stay by the Supreme Court on Calcutta High Court's interim order for the revised list of OBC candidates in West Bengal, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has requested that all WBJEE 2025 candidates to update their social category details on the official website before 11:59 PM on August 2, 2025.

This directive follows an advisory issued by the West Bengal Higher Education Department on July 30, following the apex court ruling on July 28. The WBJEE 2025 results, which were earlier withheld because of legal issues relating to the revised OBC reservation policy, are now likely to be declared soon.

Candidates must carefully update their social category information, ensuring it matches their official documents. These details will be verified during the admission process at the allotted institutes. Discrepancies or false information may result in cancellation of candidature or legal consequences.

Results Likely to Be Announced Soon

The stay granted by the Supreme Court has cleared the path for the WBJEEB to publish the 2025 entrance exam results, a senior official from the Higher Education Department said, as reported by news agency PTI.

"We in the higher education department had already anticipated this and are fully prepared to take appropriate actions immediately," said Education Minister Bratya Basu, following the court’s order, as per the PTI report.

When asked about the timeline for the WBJEE 2025 result announcement, WBJEEB Chairperson Sonali Chakraborty Banerjee said, "Today (July 30), we received the state government directive. We shall implement the directive and let you know about our decision tomorrow (July 31)," as reported by PTI.

Prior to the Supreme Court’s intervention, Sonali Chakraborty Banerjee stated, "We were ready to publish the results by July 5. But then, the legal developments followed, and the matter became subjudice. We were waiting for the government’s directive."
