DRDO Internship 2025: The application process for Science and Engineering students at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) paid internship ends today, July 14, 2025. Those who are interested and eligible can apply for the same by filling out the application form offline.

DRDO Internship 2025: Important dates

The DRDO will notify those selected about interviews on July 22, and the interviews will take place on July 26. The internship programs will begin on August 1.

DRDO Internship 2025: No. of vacancies

1. Electronics/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Embedded Systems/ VLSI Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Electrical Engineering: 58 vacancies

2. Engineering- Mechanical/ Chemical/ Aerospace/ Production/ Material/ Safety/ Instrumentation/ Metallurgical/ Ceramic: 75 vacancies

3. Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics and Allied Science: 8 vacancies

4. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE, AI, Cybersecurity and allied): 24 vacancies

DRDO Internship 2025: Eligibility criteria

Those studying Engineering at the graduation level or Engineering/Physical Science at the postgraduate level may apply for the internships. Only individuals who are enrolled in regular courses at approved institutions are qualified. They should be in the final year of their respective programs.

Aspirants must have a solid academic record, with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA. The maximum age to send applications for this DRDO internship is 28 years.

DRDO Internship: Selection process

Qualified individuals may be selected based on an interview/interaction and their qualifying degree scores (average of completed semesters/years).

About the internship and what it will offer to students

These internships will take place in the Defence Research and Development facility in Hyderabad, which is a premier facility dedicated to the research and development of advanced missile technology for the Indian Armed Forces.

Interns would get a monthly salary of ₹5,000. They will not be qualified for housing or boarding charges, but those chosen will be able to get lunch, tea, snacks, and other amenities at a reduced rate at the DRDL/ASL/CAS wet canteen.
