The online applications for its Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Technical Degree) via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has been started by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2025: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has started the online applications for its Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Technical Degree) via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Qualified students can submit applications for the grant at scholarships.gov.in. The application deadline is October 31.
According to the AICTE, the purpose of this fellowship is to help ladies advance in technical education.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2025: Eligibility criteria
1. The female candidate should be admitted to the first or second year of a degree-level course via lateral entry at an AICTE-approved institution.
2. The award can be given to no more than two girls per household.
3. The annual household income from all sources shouldn't be more than ₹8 lakh. Enclosed must be a current income certificate from the State or UT Government.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2025: Selection process
The choice of applicants shall be based exclusively on their performance in the qualifying examination for a Technical Degree course from any AICTE-approved institution, whether in the first year or by lateral admission in the second year. The merit will be based on the percentage of marks earned in the 10+2 or similar test. Also, a merit list for each state or UT will be made according to how many scholarships were given out, as explained in point 3.0 above.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2025: Number of scholarships
Through this initiative, 5,000 scholarships are given out annually. Furthermore, all eligible girls from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (UT), Jammu and Kashmir (UT), Ladakh (UT), Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu (UT), Lakshadweep (UT), Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura who submit online scholarship applications will be awarded the scholarship.
With a maximum of four years for first-year students and three years for second-year students enrolled through lateral entry, the scholarship pays ₹50,000 annually for each year of study. The scholarship is intended to cover college tuition, the purchase of computers, stationery, books, equipment, software, and other expenses.
