About the PM-KISAN Scheme

Launched on February 24, 2019, PM-KISAN is the world’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) programme for farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmer families receive Rs 6,000 annually, paid in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000. The funds are credited directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries, ensuring transparency and timely assistance.
