Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A video of fierce dispute among Congress workers went viral on social media. According to information, supporters of Congress MLA Arif Masood and Congress leader Sajid Ali thrashed each other during the meeting of “Sangathan Srajan Abhiyan” of Congress party in Bhopal.

An argument broke out between the workers of both the sides which escalated into a fight. The incident of assault and abuse has raised questions on the organisational unity of the Congress.

A meeting of the blocks of the central assembly was held at 9 Masala Restaurant on Tuesday.

Senior leaders were present at moment

Many senior and local leaders including AICC observer Yashomati Thakur, MLA Mahesh Parmar, Dilip Singh Gurjar, Congress city president Praveen Saxena were present in the meeting, who were busy discussing with Bhopal district Congress workers.

The ruckus that took place outside during this time created an embarrassing situation for the party. When the dispute took place in the meeting, the police also reached the spot.

After the arrival of the police personnel, both the parties calmed down. However, later a complaint application was given in the police station by both the parties.

BJP took a jibe

BJP also took a dig at Congress on this incident. BJP media in-charge Ashish Agarwal wrote on X, "Congress meeting or wrestling competition? Congress's organisation creation in Bhopal has now become Sangharsh Srajan. In the district Congress meeting, there was no debate between the supporters of Arif Masood and Sajid Ali, but a direct fight.

Minister in MP government, Vishwas sarang also slammed congress over this video. He wrote on X “Congress is not creating an organisation, but is training in boxing! Where there are no ideas, there are attacks - Supporters of Congress leaders Arif Masood and Sajid Ali turned the discussion into pushing and shoving and chair manipulation."

Sarang also targeted Rahul Gandhi through his post and wrote "Rahul Gandhi talks about increasing love, but on the streets, Congress workers fight like goons. It would be better if he advises his workers to increase love.”
