VIDEO: Over 2 Dozen Injured, 10 Critical After Pickup Vehicle Overturns In MP's Panna

Panna (Madhya Pradesh): A major road accident was reported in Madhya Pradesh’s Panna which left over 2 dozen people injured and 10 of them were said to be in critical condition. 

All of them are undergoing treatment at present. 

According to information, the mishap occurred on Sunday, when a pickup vehicle carrying wedding guests overturned after hitting a road divider. 

The vehicle was carrying over 24 people and all of them sustained injuries. The injured include men, women, and children.

Police reached the spot after getting information and rushed the injured to the district hospital for treatment. 

Driver fled the spot 

On the other hand, the driver fled the scene after the crash.

The wedding procession was on its way from Bandhikala to Tilha Intwa. The incident took place in the Kukrahati police outpost area.

An FIR was registered regarding the matter and an investigation has been launched to nab the driver.

Road accidents frequent in district

A recent viral video from Panna itself has sparked concerns regarding the same issue, showing an overloaded bus with passengers seated on its roof. Such reckless travel can result in fatal accidents, yet the practice continues unchecked.

The incident is reportedly from Pahadi Kheda Road in Panna district. The video attracted widespread criticism online, with many pointing out the alarming state of road safety in the region.
