Undertrial Prisoner Hangs Self To Death In Gwalior Jail After Bail Rejection

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): An undertrial prisoner committed suicide in Gwalior jail by hanging himself, reportedly after a fight with his brother and rejection of his bail plea on Tuesday.
He was lodged in jail along with his brother and father as an under trial prisoner in the Chirag Shivhare murder case 2023.
Deceased identified as Shivam Jadoun, accused in Gwalior's famous Chirag Shivhare murder case 2023.
Last night, Shivam tore his saafi and hanged himself behind the closed double-story barrack. When Shivam Jadoun was not found in his barrack in the morning, his search began.
After this, the jail guard found Shivam Jadoun hanging in Akhand area. At the same time, the jail superintendent has suspended the guard posted on duty in this case.
It is being told that Chirag Shivhare, a resident of Dabra, was burnt alive and murdered in July 2023. His burnt body was found in the forest in front of the Collectorate.
Shivam, his brother and father, including the girl, were also named in this case. The girl has been granted bail. Shivam Jadoun's bail was rejected by the court two days ago.
It has been learned that he had a dispute with his own brother over the murder of Chirag Shivhare. He was angry with his brother over this murder.
It is being speculated that Shivam might have committed suicide due to depression and guilt. Currently, the police have registered a case and sent Shivam Jadoun's body to Jayarogya Hospital for post-mortem. A judicial inquiry will be conducted regarding this suicide.
