Shahdol (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic incident has come to light in Shahdol, where a 4-year-old girl died after drowning in the village well on Wednesday.
The incident unfolded in Biraudi of Jaitpur area of Shahdol district. The child identified as Parul Agariya, accompanied her parents in the field who were engaged in planting in field.
While her parents were busy in their work, Parul was playing nearby. In a moment of misfortune, she reached near the well and tripped into it. Upon hearing the sound from the well, her parents and local people around rushed to the spot. The girl was taken out of the well, but unfortunately she died.
Police station in-charge, Jaitpur Zia Ul Haq said that a case has been registered and investigation has been initiated in the matter. After the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family for her final rites.
Parul's mother said, "We never thought that she would leave us all like this while playing".
