South Korea’s ECDS group meets CM, eyes investment
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A delegation from ECDS Group, South Korea, met Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at the Mantralaya on Monday to discuss potential investments in medical devices, aviation and semiconductors in Madhya Pradesh.
The group expressed interest in setting up a research and manufacturing unit at Ujjain’s Medical Device Park. One of the key projects they plan to develop is a cancer detection kit that will identify cancer symptoms through a simple urine test.
This early detection method will enable timely treatment, potentially saving many lives. Besides medical field, ECDS Group is also keen to invest in aviation and semiconductors, with plans to share their technology and expertise in these areas. The delegation included Dr. Wong Kwang, Dr. Younghoon Lim and Dr. Seok Kim. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain was also present on the occasion.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A team of the 16th Finance Commission led by its chairman Arvind Panagariya is arriving at Bhopal on Wednesday for a four-day visit. The commission will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and ministers of the state government.
Besides Bhopal, the commission will visit several other places. The commission will discuss distribution of taxes between the Centre and the State, grants in aid, and proper allotment of resources.
The Central Government allots funds on the grounds of recommendations of the Finance Commission. The recommendations of the Finance Commission will be valid from 1 April 2026 to March 31, 2031.
The state government will make a presentation before the commission. Through the presentation, the state government will demand increase in state’s share in the central taxes. The commission will also take feedback on the progress of the government schemes.
