Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A 16-year-old boy from Madhya Pradesh’s Morena framed his own kidnapping after his father stopped sending him to coaching classes, as reported by police on Friday. 

Notably, a case of kidnaping was reported from Morena on Thursday in which a 16-year-old boy was kidnapped. His family even received a ransom call through Instagram demanding ₹30 lakhs.

However, it was revealed on Friday, that the boy himself staged his kidnapping.

What was the matter?

The boy went missing on July 28. When the family couldn't find him anywhere, they filed a missing person's report with the police.

The next day, the boy’s sister received a video call on Instagram from unknown men demanding a ransom of ₹30 lakh. Two strangers were seen in the video, claiming the boy had been kidnapped.

This raised serious alarms for the police. Special search teams were formed, and with help from the cyber cell, they traced the boy’s location. After several hours of intense efforts, the boy was found safe in Gwalior.

Truth left people shocked 

During questioning, the shocking truth came out! 

The boy had planned the entire fake kidnapping with the help of his friends. His motive was to stay away from home and pressure his father into letting him resume coaching.
