Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A rape victim staged a protest in front of SP's car in Madhya Pradesh's Morena demanding justice and crying inconsolably on Wednesday.
She alleged that her two brother-in-laws raped her in turns and the police didn't take any legal action.
According to the victim, she lodged a FIR a month ago and no concrete actions were taken against the accused. The accused are allegedly sending obscene videos and threatening to kill the woman if she doesn't take the complaint back.
According to information, the victim had separated from her husband and was living in Gwalior. There she met a man identified as Arvind Kushwaha. Both started living together. However, when Arvind started distancing himself, her brother-in-laws identified as Alok and Anupam accompanied by two other people raped her.
The woman claimed that, this was the fifth time she had approached the cops asking them to take legal actions against her brother in laws.
“I filed a complaint at Sumavali police station a month ago, but neither Alok nor Anupam was arrested. They continue to harass me with threatening calls and obscene videos,” she claimed.
Investigations revealed, that the woman reportedly filed a formal complaint against the same accused in Sumavali police station for assaulting her.
Later, in the police investigation, it was revealed that Arvind's sister and Alok's wife were pressurising Arvind to separate from the woman.
SP Sameer Saurabh directed the concerned police station in-charge to look into this matter and conduct a thorough probe to nab the accused.
SP Saurab assured all the necessary actions will be taken to serve justice to the victim.
