MP: 73-Year-Old BSNL Employee Found Dead At Residence In Jabalpur; Post-Mortem Confirms Homicide

Following this, police registered a case of murder against an unknown accused.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Body of a retired BSNL employee was found at his residence in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district on Monday.

According to information, the body was discovered on Monday morning by the victim's son living above the victim's residence. Police arrived at the scene after being informed and sent the body for post-mortem to the Medical College.

The post-mortem report, received on Monday night, confirmed that the elderly man was killed.

The cause of death was a sharp object injury to the neck. Following this, police registered a case of homicide against an unknown accused.

The victim has been identified as 73-year-old Santosh Chaubey, he lived alone at his residence in Jabalpur's Karmeta area.

According to reports, a tenant residing at the property called out to him on Monday morning.

After receiving no response, the tenant informed Santosh’s son, Sanjay Chaubey, over the phone. Sanjay reached the house shortly after and opened the door. He discovered his father’s body lying in the kitchen with blood around his head.

After receiving the information about the body, Madhotal police station in-charge and his team reached the spot immediately.

Initially, it appeared that the death might have been caused by an accidental collision.

However, the post-mortem revealed it was a case of homicide.

Police has registered a case against unknown accused and have launched further investigations into the matter.
