Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Police claimed to have solved the blind murder case of a 19-year-old girl within 48 hours and arrested her boyfriend for the brutal murder.
As per reports, blood-stained body of Laxmi Ahirwar was found in Devtal Hills, Garna police station area. Deep knife wounds were discovered on her neck and stomach.
According to police, the girl was originally from Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district. She had come with her family to work on renovating a temple located in Devtal.
On the morning of the incident, she had gone alone to the nearby forested hills but did not return for over an hour. Concerned, her family started searching. After an intense search, they found her blood-soaked body lying in the bushes.

During investigation, police came to know that she was killed by her boyfriend, Abdul Samad, after she ignored his calls.
Laxmi's mobile phone was found near the crime scene, and investigators discovered that her last conversation was with Abdul, who had travelled from Prayagraj to Jabalpur.
Upon meeting, a dispute erupted over Laxmi allegedly speaking with another man. In a fit of rage, Abdul fatally attacked her with a knife before fleeing the scene, police said.
After hiding for two days, he was apprehended by police while trying to escape.
Devtal Hill area is notorious as a hub of criminals and drug addicts. Many incidents have happened here in the past as well, but this fatal murder has sent shockwaves through the city.
