Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief minister Mohan Yadav said that government was making every possible effort to provide easy and accessible justice to every citizen of the state.
“The sole aim is to provide timely justice to plaintiff,” Yadav said while addressing the inaugural function of newly constructed district court complex in Rewa on Sunday.
“Government is moving forward to creating a positive environment in the district court for every person who wants to get justice,” he added. The Judges present on the occasion also expressed their views. Excerpts
Hindu traditions followed
Supreme Court Judge JK Maheshwari said, “Rewa’s princely ruler Vishwanath Singh had set up two courts in Rewa decades ago. Justice was delivered according to traditions of Hindu religion in Metakshara court and on religious basis in Dharma Sabha. The new court building is a unique amalgamation of Bagheli architecture and modernity.”
Supreme Court Judge Satish Chandra Sharma said, “Rewa’s history of law is significant as many Judges and advocates from Rewa have served in High Court and Supreme Court. Justice GP Singh became Chief Justice of High Court and Justice JS Verma became the Chief Justice of Supreme Court.”
More Judges needed
Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kait said, “Due to efforts of chief minister Yadav, the state has 30 new buildings. The number of cases in Madhya Pradesh High Court is more but the number of judges is less. It is necessary to appoint 32 new judges in High Court to dispose of cases.”
