Narsinghpur (Madhya Pradesh): An unfortunate incident unfolded in Narsinghpur where 3 minors drowned in the Singri river while watching the floodwaters on Tuesday.
According to reports, Krishna Prajapati, Vasu Agarwal and Akshat Mehra all between 11 to 13 years old reportedly visited Singri river to witness the the rising water in the river under the jurisdiction of the Station Ganj police station.
SDRF & Home Guards launched a a search operation
When the kids did not return till late in the evening, their families got worried and immediately informed the police. Upon receiving information the police informed State Disaster Response Force and Home Guard teams.
The rescue team launched a search operation to rescue the boys. After an intensive search the body of Akshat Mehra was recovered near the Singpur bridge area of the Singri river.
Meanwhile, Search operations are still ongoing for the other two missing kids, Krishna Prajapati and Vasu Agarwal.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community in Vipatpura. Following closely after the heels of another tragic drowning involving a 15-year-old who bunked school for a picnic and drowned in Kankaria Dabri Kund in Mhow.
