Madhya Pradesh: 4th Bhopal-Mumbai Flight From June 1; Control On Sale And Throwing Of Meat In Open, Height Permission Process In The Airspace | Representative Image

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Fourth Bhopal-Mumbai flight will begin operations from June 1. A meeting of Environment Management Committee (AEMC) was organised at Bhopal Airport under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh on Friday.

Many important topics related to the airport were discussed in the meeting. These included ban on the use of laser beam, control on sale and throwing of meat in the open and height permission process in the airspace. Laser beam can cause hindrance in the flight of aircraft, so its use has been banned in areas around the airport.

The Divisional Commissioner directed Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) to ensure strict compliance of these rules by operators of marriage gardens located near the airport. Apart from this, instructions were given to ban sale or throwing meat in the open and keep a watch on it so that incidents like bird hit can be avoided. Also, height-related permission for any construction work in the airport area should be given only after checking ‘NOCAS’ portal of the Airport Authority.

Illegal parking and garbage management on the airport approach road were also discussed in the meeting. The Divisional Commissioner directed the police and Municipal Corporation to ensure strict adherence to aviation safety standards. Airport director Ramji Awasthi said,
