Itarsi Accident: 2 Dead After Speeding Bus Overturns On NH 46; School Children Among Injured

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two passengers, including a woman, died after a bus overturned on National Highway 46 in Itarsi on Monday afternoon. The accident took place near Pathrota culvert, when the speeding lost control.
School children were among the passengers trapped inside the bus. Police reached the spot and rescued them.
As the news spread, SDM and SDOP reached the government hospital to meet the victims. The injured have alleged driver's negligence.

According to information, a private bus left Itarsi and was on its way to Ordnance Factory premises on Monday. School children and women were among the passengers. As the speeding bus reached near Pathrota culvert on NH46, the driver lost control on the wheels and the vehicle overturned.
Two people died on the spot while dozen others including school children were injured. They were trapped inside the damaged bus and were rescued by the local villagers and police.
A team of cops rushed the injured to the hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is said to be stable. Parents of the children have been informed.
Police said that the accused bus driver has fled after the accident and a search was on to nab him.
