According to information, the matter pertains to the Civil Lines police station area in Vidisha and the victim has been identified as Sandhya Ahirwar.
Sandhya and Pramod Goswami tied the knot in 2020 after being in a relationship. Three years later, she gave birth to a daughter, who is 2-years-old at present.
Police said, on Friday night at around 11 pm, Pramod entered the house under the influence of alcohol and assaulted his wife brutally, as alleged by Sandhya’s father, Arjun Ahirwar.
Sandhya’s father also alleged there were multiple injury marks on her body, and she died due to the assault. Family members claimed that Sandhya had been facing harassment ever since her marriage, and frequent fights took place between the couple.
