CCTV: Masked Men Shoot Bullets, Throw Bomb At A House In MP's Jabalpur Over Suspected Personal Rivalry

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Four masked men reportedly shot bullets and threw a bomb at a house in Jabalpur late at night, the police said on Monday. 

It is said that four attackers arrived in front of the house and carried out the deadly attack on a man’s house over personal rivalry.

Fortunately, no life was lost in the incident. However, a case has been registered against unknown accused on the matter.

CCTV footage surfaces

According to information, the incident occurred under Omti police station limits. The house belonged to Sonu Sonkar and the entire incident was captured in CCTV footage. 

In the footage, two masked men can be seen firing bullets at a house multiple times. At the end, even threw a bomb which filled the house with dense smoke. 

After this the miscreants feld the spot.

Later, Sonkar lodged a complaint with Omti police. The police have registered a case against unknown attackers and are currently investigating. 

Investigation on 

Preliminary investigation suggests that the attack might be the result of a personal rivalry.

Regarding the matter, ASP Suryakant Sharma said, “Four masked men on two bikes opened fire at a house and threw a bomb in the Omti police station area. We have registered a case under relevant sections of Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita and are reviewing the CCTV footage. We are trying to identify the attackers. Strict action will be taken on the basis of findings.”
