Bhopal Collector Inspects Traffic System, Direct Fixes At Black Spot, Left Turns | Representative Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh on Monday conducted an on-ground inspection of the city’s traffic management system and assessed the condition of left turns and accident-prone areas. Singh directed officials to rectify issues at vulnerable intersections and ensure smooth and safe traffic flow. The collector directed the authorities concerned to address the issues of black spots.
During the inspection, Singh emphasized that ensuring safe and uninterrupted traffic flow is the administration’s top priority. He instructed officials to prepare a detailed presentation highlighting shortcomings in the current traffic system along with the proposed solutions.=
Collector Singh visited district court junction, Platinum Plaza, JP Hospital intersection and 7 Number Stop and in person checked the functionality of the traffic management system. The collector directed immediate improvements be made at these points, including construction of proper left turns, road dividers and markings like zebra crossings and stop lines. The collector warned against any laxity in traffic management.
‘Enhancing commuter safety’
Collector Singh told media persons that the proactive inspection comes as part of a broader push to streamline Bhopal’s urban traffic infrastructure and enhance commuter safety.
