Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 40-year-old man's body was found hanging from a water tank in Jabalpur on Thursday.
The man named Santosh Kol was found hanging from a water tank in Mahgawan village, located in the Panagar police station area.

Santosh Kol was the son of Sukhram Kol and lived with his family in the village. He used to work as a daily wage laborer and was the sole breadwinner, taking care of his family's needs through hard work.
Police sources have revealed that Santosh was also known to be addicted to alcohol or drugs, which may have affected his mental health. However, the exact reason behind his death is still unclear.
The police are treating the case seriously and are questioning family members, neighbors, and other villagers to find out if there were any disputes or issues that could be related to the incident.
After locals spotted the body hanging from the tank, they immediately informed the police. A team from the Panagar police station, along with experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), quickly reached the location.
The officials secured the area and began their investigation. The body was then taken down and sent for post-mortem to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical Hospital.
The police are looking into both suicide and murder angles as part of their investigation.
