According to the police, the car had 4 passengers: Chandi Garh from Uchha Tevan, Anand Raj from Indore, OP from Amritsar, and Ilaiyaraja from Jaipur.
OP and Anand lost their lives in the accident. SDOP Bagli, Srishti Bhargav, confirmed that the car lost control and fell into the river on its own - there was no collision with the truck.
According to locals, the river was around 8–10 feet deep where the car fell
Villagers said the bridge over the Kalisindh River was built during British times and is too narrow for modern traffic.
Accidents are common here, especially during the rainy season. If a vehicle breaks down on the bridge, it often causes traffic jams stretching for several kilometers.
Locals have been demanding a new bridge for years.
