Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has revealed that China shared intelligence on the Indian Air Defence system missile, flight path operations during tensions with India earlier last month. Asif said China shared the intel as China also has problems with India.

Speaking to Arab News, Asif said it was common for friendly nations to share intelligence gathered via satellites or other means and "China also has problems with India."

"These days, countries that are close to each other strategically do share intelligence. It’s very normal if we are sharing any information we have," Asif said. "It’s very normal if we are sharing any information that could pose a threat to us or the Chinese, because the Chinese also have problems with India. So I think it’s very natural to share intelligence gathered through satellites or other means," he said.

Besides, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif dismissed reports of receiving Chinese J-35A fighter jets by 2026 and termed the reports as media speculation.

Asif dismissed reports that Pakistan will receive J-35A fighters in 2026. He said that the reports are only in the media and are good for Chinese sales.

“I think it’s only in the media, you know. It’s only in the media and it’s good for sales, Chinese defense sales,” the Pak minister said.

Earlier last month, there were many reports that China had fast-tracked the delivery of its J-35A jets to Pakistan. Some reports had claimed that Pakistan will receive the first batch of stealth fighters by August 2025.

J-35A Stealth Fighter Jet Specifications

The fifth-generation stealth fighter jet, developed by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, was unveiled in November 2024 at the Zhuhai Air Show. The J-35A is a twin-engine, multi-role fighter jet renowned for its stealth capabilities.
