United States: Indian Tech Entrepreneur Kills Wife & Son, Ends Life In Washington

An Indian tech entrepreneur allegedly killed his wife and one of his sons before ending his life in the United States.

Washington DC: An Indian tech entrepreneur allegedly killed his wife and one of his sons before ending his life in the United States. The incident took place on April 24 in Washington's Newcastle. The deceased have been identified as 57-year-old Harshavardhana S Kikkeri, 44-year-old Shwetha Panyam and their 14-year-old son.

Meanwhile, the couple's other son survived as he ran away from the house when the incident took place, reported News18. Local news reports claimed that investigators escorted a child from the home.

Meanwhile, the identities of the children have not been released by the King County Sheriff’s Office. The reason which led to the incident is not yet known. A detailed investigation is currently underway.

Kikkeri hailed from KR Pet Taluk of Karnataka's Mandya district. He was the founder and CEO of HoloWorld. Notably, it is a robotics company with headquarters in Mysuru.

The company was co-founded in 2017 by Kikkeri and his wife after they returned to India. At the peak of his popularity, the tech entrepreneur had also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to propose utilising robots for border security purposes.

Kikkeri had also worked for Microsoft.
