A joyous celebration turned into a scene of chaos when a driver rammed through a crowd during Liverpool FC's Premier League title parade on Monday evening in Liverpool, England, injuring several pedestrians.
According to a report in The New York Times, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. during the club’s trophy procession. Disturbing videos that surfaced online quickly went viral on social media where a car driving recklessly through the crowd, ran over multiple people before being surrounded and stopped by police.

The video clearly shows the moment of panic as fans, who had gathered to celebrate the Reds' title success, were struck by the vehicle. The car eventually came to a halt in middle the crowd, with authorities immediately stepping in. Several people can be seen receiving assistance.
According to multiple British reports, a man was arrested on the spot and taken into custody.
Liverpool were officially crowned Premier League champions at the end of April but only lifted the trophy after their final match of the season on Sunday. The victory parade began at around 2 p.m. on Monday, with stars like Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk leading the open-top bus celebrations through the city.
However, the celebrations were marred by the horrifying incident, leaving fans distressed.
