The significance of this timing—Prime Minister Modi being ju the fourth world leader to meet with President Trump within three weeks of his inauguration—demonstrates the mutual respect and importance both nations place on their relationship.
The strength of U.S.-India relations is underscored by its broad bipartisan support in both countries. Indiaspora is particularly encouraged to see numerous Indian Americans taking on prominent roles in the new Trump administration, which reflects the diaspora's bipartisan nature and commitment to public service acro party lines.
The bond between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump grew strong during President Trump's first term as evidenced by their joint appearances at major publ gatherings in Houston and Ahmedabad. While challenging topics such as trade, tariffs, and immigration policies will necessitate ongoing discussions, we welcome constructive dialogue on these important issues. Moreover, there is significant potential for collaboration on global challenges.
