Pakistani army has admitted that India shot down Pakistan Air Force's two JF-17 aircrafts after Pakistan tried to attack multiple locations. ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry speaking to the media said, "Following the developments of Operation Sindoor we find it important to offer transparency and reaffirm our enduring commitment to regional stability. The operation saw intense engagement along the eastern corridor, We regret to confirm that two JF 17 aircraft were lost during active duty."
He further said, "Ye nuksan humare liye sirf numbers nahi ek jasbati dhakka hai." Which roughly translates to, "This is not just numbers for us but an emotional setback."
He further said, "We also suffered damage to civilian infrastructure and casualties among our brave service members."
Reportedly, an F-16 supersonic fighter jet of the Pakistan Air Force was also shot down in the evening by an Indian surface-to-air missile defence system.
