You might expect to see elephants in temples or crossing roads in the wild—but what about inside a mall?
A video that’s now gone viral shows a huge elephant calmly walking into a convenience store in Thailand’s Khao Yai region. The elephant, identified as 23-year-old Plai Biang Lek, walked out of Khao Yai National Park and entered a nearby store, leaving shoppers shocked and screaming.
In the video, originally posted on Instagram by @bangkokcommunityhelp, the animal was seen taking a stroll inside the shopping mart. Was it hungry for some food or just bored at the wildlife area? The answer remains a mystery, but the visuals showed the elephant gently using its trunk to explore the store’s shelves, almost touching the ceiling.
