A man in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district allegedly bit off his wife's nose in anger after he found her with her lover. A 25-year-old woman is severely injured and is now admitted to the hospital in Hardoi.
The shocking incident took place on Wednesday evening when the woman went to meet her lover. a resident of the same village. Her husband, named Ram Khilawan, followed his wife, Pooja, to her lover's house after seeing her talking to him over a phone call. According to police reports, a heated confrontation broke out, which led to Ram Khilawan attacking Pooja. He bit off her nose in rage.
According to the reports, injured Pooja was rushed to the district hospital but was later referred to a medical college in Lucknow for specialized treatment.
Legal Proceedings Underway:
A case has been registered based on Pooja's complaint, while Ram Khilawan has been taken into custody and the legal action is underway, as stated by Additional Superintendent of Police Narendra Kumar.

This is not the first time when a husband has biten off his wife's nose. A similar case was registered a few days ago in the nearby state of West Bengal. Only the scenario was a little different, where a man allegedly bit off his wife’s nose because he found it too attractive. This incident took place on May 2 in the Nadia district of WB.
