Search operation for the man continues as new CCTV footage that came in recently shows him dragging the motionless Pit Bull (dog) through the pathway, down the residential block. At the same time, another video captured the accused pouring flammable liquid on the pet before setting it on fire. The news has broken down on the Internet, with netizens demanding strict action against the accused.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred on Thursday at around 5 AM at the corner of 128th Street and 116th Avenue in South Ozone Park. In the surveillance video shared by neighbours, the man can be seen dragging the dog on a leash behind him. Police say he then poured some sort of flammable liquid on the dog before lighting it on fire. The man then left the scene, leaving the animal behind.
Meanwhile, locals and neighbours have reported not recognizing the accused, and even the owners of the dog are not known yet. The disturbing CCTV footage of him dragging the dog and leaving it to die has gone viral on social media.

Search Operation Continues
The NYPD Animal Cruelty Squad is investigating the dog's death, while the ASPCA is also involved. A spokesperson said the organization is supporting police by performing a necropsy.
