During Amity University Jharkhand’s event AMIPHORIA 2025, a man attempted to recreate 'King of Pop's' iconic dance move, the famous moonwalk, however, he went viral for all the wrong reasons. What was probably expected to be a heartfelt tribute to legendary singer Michael Jackson quickly turned into a viral moment of ridicule on the internet. His performance didn't impress netizens and drew criticism and a series of hilarious comments from them.
A Ranchi-based youth, Shashank Singh, who describes himself as someone who loves dancing on Instagram, recently took to the stage at the college event in Jharkhand. For his love of dance, he decided to perform on the much-admired song 'Dangerous' by the pop legend.

Donning a maroon shirt and brown trousers, Singh grooved to MJ's iconic track, attempting the iconic moonwalk and signature head bow. The audience at the venue seemed entertained, cheering and whistling throughout his performance.
However, the internet had a different reaction.

Soon after Singh uploaded a clip of his performance to Instagram, it was widely circulated and became a subject of online trolling. Netizens believed the dance was lacking finesse.
One user bluntly wrote, “Maja nahi aaya (It wasn't entertaining)", while another said, "Dobara mat karna (Don’t do it again)".
The comments section was flooded with reactions. A comment that caught the attention of users read, “Accha hua MJ ye sab dekhne ke liye jinda nahi raha, agar jinda hota to wapas mar jata (Good thing MJ isn’t alive to see this, if he were, he would’ve died all over again)". Meanwhile, one quipped, saying, “Bro, moonwalk karna tha, baaki dance mast hai (You were supposed to do the moonwalk, rest of the dance was fine though)".
Still, a few users felt Singh's performance was good.
Uploaded last month, the dance video has already gathered over four lakh views on Instagram.
