Shall we go on a trip? The first question you'd likely ask is about the destination. However, an airline in Europe told passengers not to worry about it and to leave the decision to the pilots. They were given flight tickets to an unknown destination as they embarked on their journey from Copenhagen Airport earlier this month.

Mystery destination revealed

Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) rolled out its 'mystery' destination flight taking off from Copenhagen to an unrevealed location within the Schengen Zone. The flights were booked in February 2025 for a travel date between April 4 and 7.

Are you curious to know where the flights landed? So, we have you covered. The mystery destination was revealed to be Seville, a city in Spain which is a part of the free travel area in Europe that spans 29 countries.

A passenger at Copenhagen Airport recently shared a photo of the flight information display system mentioning the departure of an SAS mystery flight.

"Scandinavian Airlines are running “unknown” destination flights. You buy a ticket and board the plane. Then you find out where you are going. Would you do it?", the person posted on X while sharing the image of 'Unknown Schengen' flight by the SAS.

The post quickly gained traction on social media and it attracted hundreds of replies. Netizens were excited to know about such flights. "Sounds pretty interesting", one wrote. "Adventure! Yes I would do it", commented another travel enthusiast.

Tickets sold out in 4 minutes

The unusual booking opportunity was launched in February and the tickets were sold out in just four minutes.

Notably, this offer to fly to an undisclosed location was only made available to frequent flyers of the airline company, who had subscribed to the EuroBonus loyalty programme.

The airline company first introduced the concept of travelling to an unrevealed destination last year. The 'Destination Unknown' flights surprised passengers with a travel to Athens in 2024. They continued the concept this year as well, experiencing overwhelming bookings for the mystery flight.
