A video of 60-year-old Mamata Pathak, who is accused of killing her husband by electrocuting him, has taken the internet by surprise. In the clip, she can be seen presenting a defensive argument before the Jabalpur Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

In the viral video, an MP HC judge asks her, "You are accused of murdering your husband by electrocution. What do you have to say about the post-mortem's findings?"

In response, Mamata, a retired Chemistry professor, rejects the post-mortem report, explaining, "In the post-mortem room, it is not possible to differentiate between thermal burns and electric burn marks. When current flows, volatilisation of atoms... particles of the metal get deposited in the tissue. When it goes to the lab, they remove the burn mark, separate the particles, and dissolve them with chemicals to determine whether..."

The judge then interjects, asking, "Are you a Chemistry professor?" She replies, "Yes." This revelation visibly stuns Justice Vivek Agarwal.

The clip of the court proceedings has gone viral on social media, with many users left surprised by Mamata’s argument in court.

Sharing the video, a user named Dr Sheeta Yadav stated, "The name of this elderly woman is Mamta Pathak, and she has been a professor. She was convicted of her husband's murder. For this reason, she is personally handling her legal defence in the Mamta Pathak vs State of Madhya Pradesh case. This is why it is said that education is very important—so that no one can take away your rights."

"I thought it was a scene from a Bollywood or Hollywood movie," commented another user.

"Breaking Bad moment," a third user wrote jokingly.
