A brawl broke out mid-air on an Air Asia flight from Kuala Lumpur to Chengdu, China, after a group of women were confronted for chatting loudly once the cabin lights were dimmed, NDTV reported.
The altercation began when a male passenger seated behind the group of women, clearly frustrated by their loud chatter, asked them to lower their voices. The situation escalated when the man allegedly called them “stupid” and told them to “shut up.”
The verbal exchange soon turned violent when an enraged woman from the group climbed over her seat and punched the man. Another woman joined in, striking him as he ducked behind his food tray.
A video from the flight has surfaced showing cabin crew intervening and attempting to separate the individuals involved. After considerable effort, the flight crew successfully restored order, bringing the conflict to an end.
The occurred on an Airbus A320 that departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 6.11pm on Monday and landed at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport at 10.13 pm.

The incident did not affect return flight schedules or disrupt operations. AAX urged all passengers to remain respectful during their journey, emphasising its zero-tolerance policy for behaviour that compromises the comfort, safety, or experience of others on board.
