A woman claims she was left with a seven-year sinus infection after her boyfriend "Farted terribly" in her face. Though the couple broke up, she was plagued by a stuffy nose and facial pain for years afterwards. Christine Connell, a travel vlogger known as @christinexploring on TikTok, has alleged that she endured chronic sinus infections after the bizarre encounter, which occurred while she was recovering from knee surgery.
Connell narrated how she developed a persistent sinus infection after a night at a hotel with her ex-boyfriend. She was recovering from ankle surgery and unable to move when he released what she called a “terrible” fart directly into her face.
Recalling the ordeal she said, “I couldn’t breathe, There’s nothing that even compares to that.” In the years that followed, Connell endured chronic sinus infections, complete with facial pain, congestion, green mucus, and recurrent fevers.
Despite rounds of tests, scans, and medical consultations, the cause remained elusive. Eventually, doctors found the source of the infection: E. coli—a bacteria typically found in fecal matter. “E. coli is from poop,”
“I wish I were joking.” “How does that get in your sinuses unless your boyfriend farts disgustingly and you’re forced to inhale it because you’re immobile after surgery?” she said.
She said, "My boyfriend got the best possible break up revenge that anyone could ever get."
However, Connell clarified that her ex hadn’t targeted her. “He wasn’t trying to fart in my face. He was just getting into bed and, unfortunately, my face was in the path of destruction,” she said.
