Madhya Pradesh: Divisional Bar Association elections to be held on Monday

The elections of the Bar Association are held in the month of March but this time the elections had to be carried forward due to the second wave of corona.

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Divisional Bar Association will get its new office bearers on Monday. The process of union elections will start from 11 am and the votes will be cast till 4 pm. Counting will start immediately after voting. The results of the office bearers will be declared by 8 pm.

The elections of the Bar Association are held in the month of March but this time the elections had to be carried forward due to the second wave of corona. A total of 1,271 voters will choose their new office bearers.

The voting process in the Sangh canteen will be held under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. Chief Electoral Officer Nilesh Yogi said that the model code of conduct will be fully observed.

Voting will be done only following the Covid protocol. The results of elections of executive members will be declared on September 28.

The election has become very interesting as senior advocate Ravindra Trivedi, current president Ashok Yadav and Anil Mathur are in the fray.

All three are veterans of their field and the choice of the bar members will become clear on Sunday.
